Be Part of Open Weekend 2025

Roald Dahl Museum

Open Weekend is back for 2025 – join in the fifth year of our vibrant, Bucks-wide event full of creative activities to try out and have a go!  This year we will hold Open Weekend at the end of August – 28th-31st August 2025.

Are you a creative business, cultural organisation or artist looking to reach new audiences, test fresh ideas, and connect with like-minded organisations? Open Weekend is your opportunity to showcase your work, engage with communities, and grow your presence across Buckinghamshire.

With stories and nature as this year’s theme, you can inspire audiences with unique experiences that brings creativity to life: every tree has a tale – every landscape holds a legend – every moment spent in nature is a story waiting to be told. From ancient folklore and myth to personal reflections and artistic expressions, stories shape the way we experience nature—and nature, in turn, fuels our imagination and creativity. For creative businesses, this is more than an event—it’s an opportunity:

  • Turn Spaces into Stories – present an open-air theatre performance, a gallery exhibition inspired by landscapes, or a workshop that blends creativity with nature
  • Connect with Communities – bring new audiences into your world by offering hands-on activities, interactive installations, or storytelling events that captivate and inspire.
  • Experiment and Innovate – test new ideas, collaborate with other creatives, and use Open Weekend as a springboard for future projects, all while benefiting from county-wide promotion.
  • Celebrate Sustainability & Culture – highlight your commitment to nature, creativity, and meaningful engagement by weaving environmental consciousness into your storytelling.
