Cultural Strategy

Buckinghamshire Culture is leading the new Buckinghamshire Cultural Strategy and working with partners to develop the Action Plan of projects that will deliver the strategic aims. Visit our Cultural Strategy page for more information.

Bucks in 100 Objects

Telling the story of Buckinghamshire through objects from across the county. We hope to build a county-wide project to celebrate our heritage and the story of Bucks and its people. Due to Covid-19 we have decided to take this project online to explore the objects our residents think are important. See the nominations so far here.

Storytelling Festival

Buckinghamshire Culture intends to develop a county-wide, multi-disciplinary Storytelling Festival for 2022, exploring Storytelling in all its forms. In response to Covid-19 we collected Lockdown Stories, encouraging people to flex their imagination and share a story inspired by Lockdown. See the stories here. For more information on how we are developing the Storytelling Festival click here.

Celebrating our Paralympic Heritage

There is widespread interest in developing a participatory cultural programme inspired by our Paralympic legacy, which celebrates this heritage, and provides accessible and inclusive opportunities to engage with, practice, and experience arts and heritage.  We are developing project ideas and will share more information when we have it.
