Bucks Culture explores challenges and opportunities, while enabling partnership working – this often takes the form of research and development projects. Our R&D work is about exploring new ideas, testing approaches, and driving innovation across the cultural sector. We pilot projects that address real challenges, support sector development, and encourage creative risk-taking. We work with partners across culture, education, health, and more to co-design initiatives that build insight, spark innovation, and strengthen the sector as a whole.
Through this work, we help shape a more resilient, responsive, and connected cultural landscape in Buckinghamshire.

Buckinghamshire Culture is entering the next phase in its ambition to galvanise the power of stories to create new cultural opportunities for local people and shine a light on the rich history and life of the county. Celebrating our Paralympic Heritage
During 2022-2023 we delivered a multi-partner project celebrating our Paralympic heritage through a co-produced, multi-venue exhibition and a series of accessible events. Training and sharing took place and the project partners worked with disability charities and those with lived experience to develop an Access and Inclusion Manifesto. Find out more here.
