Songs of Science and Nature

Join local performer and songwriter John Brain for a lively and interactive family music show that celebrates the wonders of science and the beauty of the natural world. Packed with original songs and engaging stories, this performance invites children (ages 5 and up) and their grown-ups to explore big ideas through music — from habitats, plants and animals, food chains to rocks, fossils and the magic of soil.
With a deep love for the environment at the heart of the show, each song is designed to spark curiosity, encouraging young audiences to ask questions, make discoveries and sing along. Children are invited to join in with catchy choruses and take part in the fun, making this a joyful and enriching experience for the whole family.
Performances typically last 45–60 minutes and may include visual projections when the venue allows, offering colourful imagery to accompany the themes. Where this isn’t possible, vivid storytelling and plenty of audience interaction bring the topics to life.
Recently seen at the Chesham Fringe Festival and local schools including Ash Hill Primary in High Wycombe, this unique show blends science, music and storytelling in a way that inspires curiosity and care for the world around us.
