Threads of Connection Workshop

Join textile artists Karina Thomas and Lisa Vaughan from Black Swans Studio for a calming and creative workshop exploring nature, wellbeing and self-expression through textiles.

Set in the welcoming surroundings of Princes Risborough Library, this hands-on session begins with a gentle guided walk, where you’ll be encouraged to notice textures, colours and patterns in the natural world. After the walk, you’ll head indoors to reflect and respond through weaving, stitching and binding, using a beautiful mix of natural and recycled materials.

This session is perfect for all levels of experience, whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned maker. You’ll be supported in a friendly, relaxed environment where there’s no pressure to create a finished product. It’s all about enjoying the process, connecting with others and taking a mindful pause from your busy day.

Threads of Connection has been designed to be inclusive and welcoming, encouraging people of all ages to join in, try something new and take time for themselves in a creative space. Held in a familiar and accessible community setting, the workshop aims to remove barriers to participation and offer a warm, non-judgemental atmosphere where everyone can explore their creativity at their own pace.

Come alone or bring a friend – this is your invitation to slow down, get creative and feel more connected.  A small fee applies, and all materials will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for walking.

Booking is required as places are limited.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access to the library, we will bring items of nature for those who cannot walk around the farm.
