Buckinghamshire Culture would like to thank everyone who submitted nominations for the Bucks Spark Awards 2026.

This year’s nominations showcased an inspiring range of cultural activity taking place across Buckinghamshire, reflecting the creativity, commitment and collaboration that continue to strengthen the county’s cultural sector. The judging panel was struck by both the quality and diversity of the submissions received.

The nominations celebrated work by a range of organisations, artists and cultural partners, such as Signdance Collective, Shape Arts, Queens Park Arts Centre, Decreate, Dew Dance, Chiltern Open Air Museum, Chris Kelly and the Neuroverse Artist Collective, Amersham Museum, National Paralympic Heritage Trust, Harsha Basu and Stowe House Preservation Trust.

The projects and activities nominated represented many different aspects of Buckinghamshire’s cultural life. They included exhibitions exploring Saxon history and contemporary disability arts, creative storytelling projects celebrating local identity and heritage, collaborative public art, dance performances and international partnerships, major community events, environmental sustainability initiatives, museum and education partnerships, and projects improving access to culture for disabled people and young people with special educational needs. They also included the launch of the National Disability Movement Archive and Collection at Buckinghamshire New University, alongside exhibitions showcasing the work of local and regional artists.

Together, the nominations demonstrate the important role that culture plays in connecting communities, preserving heritage, encouraging creativity and widening participation across Buckinghamshire.

We are grateful to everyone who took the time to submit a nomination and share their work. The Bucks Spark Awards celebrate innovation, collaboration and impact across the cultural sector, and this year’s entries provide a powerful reminder of the talent and dedication that exists throughout the county.

Award recipients will be announced at the Buckinghamshire Culture Conference on 5 November 2026 at The Hub, High Wycombe, and the awards will be presented by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, The Countess Howe.
